These forgings looked really impressive in our inspection area this week. With an input weight of over 500 kgs each, these engineering grade forgings will soon be on their way to our customer who will in turn machine them into parts destined for the UK rail industry.
All operations were carried out on site here in Sheffield from the hammer forging through to heat treatment, mechanical testing, NDE and proof machining.
