Shaped forgings can often be the cost saving route.
They can offer reduced weight of the raw material, improved mechanical properties and a significant reduction in machining times compared to sawn round bar stock.
These Alloy 625 boss forgings were forged to shape on site, with heat treatment and testing managed throughout our group companies which are all in close proximity. This production route ensures full control of the manufacturing process which in turn can provide an efficient and prompt delivery.
Other recent boss forgings work we have done have featured the grades - LF2, 316, F51 Duplex, F55 Super Duplex, F65 and a host of engineering grades for the gear manufacturers
