Special Quality Alloys is based at the
60,000 sq/ft Bessemer Works plant, one of the four
sites owned by the Special Steel Group in Sheffield.
Equipment
New 2000 Tonne materials handling and storage system.
Forklift front and side loading trucks up to 5000 Kg lift,
7 Metre high capacity.

HEAT TREATMENT
18 custom built gas fired furnaces, capacities ranging from
2 - 25 Tonnes with bed lengths up 10 metres.
Oil, Water, Air Quench or Furnace cool capability.
Multiple staightening presses up to 1000 tonnes.
An additional 24 specialist furnaces provide treatments including
salt bath treatments, stress relieving, annealing, normalising,
general, flame and induction hardening, and vacuum heat treatments. |
